VISITATION GUIDELINES

1. Reservations is per vehicle.
Space at the nursery is limited, but you may bring as many guests as you can safely fit in your car. The reservation fee will be credited towards your purchase of plants at the nursery. Think of it as a minimum purchase to visit the nursery, but you pay it ahead of time to secure your spot.

After submitting your reservation fee, your name will automatically be included on the guest list. You will also receive an order confirmation, so check your inbox or spam folder.

The reservation fee is refundable up to 72 hours prior to the event. If you need to cancel with less than 72-hour notice, the fee will be applied only as store credit for online purchases. Please sign up only if you are certain of attending.

2. Directions are sent via email on Thursday prior to your weekend reservation.
We understand you might want the directions earlier than that. To limit the number of emails we send out, we provide directions when we send out reminders a few days prior to the event. For an estimate on your drive time to get here, use Google Maps to get to Eagle Creek, Oregon (97022) from your location.

3. Visit us only during your scheduled reservation.
We are on residential property and allow visitors on the premises only during approved scheduled visits. Please respect the privacy of those who live here. Unscheduled visits will be declined. Sorry, no exceptions.

4. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather.
The nursery is open air with some shelter. If it's hot and sunny, you'll sweat. If it rains, you'll get wet. The walkways are non-paved, so wear proper shoes. We will provide complimentary refreshments. A portable toilet will be available onsite. Eagle Creek Saloon is located next door if you want to have a meal.

5. Keep your dogs at home.
We have two nursery dogs on the premises who enjoy playing fetch with anyone who's willing to throw a ball. However, because they are not familiar with your dog and this is their territory, we cannot predict how they will interact. For everyone's safety and peace of mind, please keep your pets at home. There isn't any shaded parking, so we also strongly discourage leaving pets in cars during your visit.

Certified service dogs on service harnesses and trained to perform a specific task are welcomed. Please let us know in advance.

This was a wonderful experience every way possible and I'll do it again next year!! Meeting the growers and getting to have our questions answered was so helpful- everyone was so patient and knowledgable. Seeing the wide variety of plants available was eye-opening because I didn't even know most existed! Prices were so reasonable for very healthy plants that we could afford to try a few new ones. I especially loved the care guides included with purchase. To top it off, the weather was perfect and I got to spend the afternoon with my daughter and granddaughter at a plant nursery, getting the next generation involved with plants. Thanks for making this experience open to the public :-) - Sandra

This was my first time visiting a carnivorous plant grower. I enjoyed every minutes of it, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had all my purchased plants shipped to me back in Illinois. All my plants were very well packaged (Thank you Jason!) and looked beautiful and healthy. Thank you team Sarracenia Northwest for the great experience!

This was my first visit to a carnivorous plant nursery, so I didn't know what to expect. It was a sensory overload with so many beautiful plants. Of course, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely looking to attend again next year.

We had a good time seeing all of the plants and asking the owners questions (thank you both by the way). The dogs were a bonus! Would recommend!

    Truly a spectacular experience

Sarracenia Northwest has always been a very important part of my life, after all, this wonderful place was the sole reason why I got into this amazing hobby. Their staff has helped me through problems with my plants, shipped me plants in perfect condition, and has been a wonderful resource for furthering my plant growing skills. This year, I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Sarracenia Northwest during one of their July open houses, and it was truly an incredible experience. I enjoyed touring the nursery, purchasing plants, and getting my questions answered by the knowable staff of Sarracenia Northwest. They were even kind enough to ship my plants back to my residence, eliminating the need for me to trek the plants home in my carry on. Overall, just a fantastic experience that I will cherish for many years to come.

This was my second time around going to an SNW Open House. I think it's enough to say that I am eagerly (and patiently) waiting for the following spring/summer to go to another open house at the SNW nursery. Friendly staff, great coffee and snacks, and awesome plants. Thanks a lot!

    Open house experience

I had a wonderful experience at the 9/14 open house/nursery. Jacob and the other staff members were courteous and helpful, patiently answering my novice questions. They offered advice on care and maintenance of the plants I purchased. I look forward to visiting again and adding to my collection of carnivorous plants. So glad that you guys are here; an amazing local source.

This is a must do item.

We found lots of great plants and learned a lot from the crew at the open house. A car full of people for $15 and everyone gets a free plant. Pretty cool.
