This mix contains equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite.

All ingredients are guaranteed to be free of fertilizers and other contaminants that may harm carnivorous plants. Soil mix is shipped dried. Moisten thoroughly before using.  Use this mix for the following plants for the following tropical pitcher plants:

  • Brocchinia: Bromeliad
  • Cephalotus: Australian Pitcher
  • Heliamphora: Sun Pitcher
  • Nepenthes: SE Asian Pitcher

A gallon of soil will fill:

  • one 8-inch pot or
  • two 6-inch pots or
  • six 4-inch pots

    I bought a variety of specimens, and the gorgeous plants were sent brilliantly packed, and beautifully marked with color coded stakes. The stakes with accompanying care guides immediately led me to divide up the various categories of plants to transplant to the correct substrate. Very highly recommended!
