All pots come with the right amount of soil to fill each pot.

You get approximately 1/2 gallon of soil mix and a set of plastic pots with drain holes. All soil mixes are guaranteed to be free of fertilizers and contaminants. Soil is shipped dried. Moisten thoroughly before using.

Available Pot Sizes:

  • 3-inch pots (6 total)
  • 4-inch pots (3 total) 
  • 6-inch pot (1 total)
  • Hanging pot (1 total)


Regular Soil Mix (Peat Moss and Perlite)

  • 50/50: 50% peat moss and 50% perlite, our standard mix for many plants and pot sizes.
  • 40/60: 40% peat moss and 60% perlite, a good mix for small pots and young plants.  Also a good mix for regulating soil temperature in desert climates.
    If in doubt, select 50/50.
  • Dionaea: Venus Flytraps
  • Drosera: Sundews
  • Sarracenia: North American Pitcher
  • Utricularia: Bladderwort


Tropical Pitcher Plant Mix (Dried Sphagnum Moss and Perlite)

  • 50% dried sphagnum and 50% medium grade perlite.
  • Brocchinia: Bromeliad
  • Cephalotus: Australian Pitcher
  • Heliamphora: Sun Pitcher
  • Nepenthes: SE Asian Pitcher

    just the right size for the little plants that needed a new home... it's nice to be able to get just the number of pots I need without having to by a huge amount.

    Basically I just needed a large plastic pot for my growing pitcher plant. This works just fine and doesn't look bad.
