Pinguicula Alfred Lau #13
Alfred Lau was a botanist who researched and discovered many Mexican butterworts in the wild. This particular plant was one that he discovered in the wild and remains unidentified. It potentially is a form of Pinguicula gigantea or a natural hybrid with it. It has large, broad, slightly wavy leaves at full size, and grows very quickly. It seems to grow well without a dry winter rest if the soil is moist and the lighting is bright throughout the year. When fully mature, the plant can span 8 inches across.
Type of Plant: Tropical plant for windowsill growing.
Size: 8 inches across when mature.
Sunlight: Dappled to partial sun. Avoid hot sunlight.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: 1 part peat moss, 3 parts perlite.
Temperatures: Tolerant of cool temperatures but always protect from frost.

Excellent buy
This is such a cool plant. It arrived well packed and in very good condition. I bought two different plants and both have earned their keep in terms of fly catching.

Mexicam Butterworts
This Butterworts cane in great condition and is a GREAT ADDITION to my other Butterworts. Both Butterworts were a lot larger than I had expected after having bought them when I first started of another dealer --- those died from their size and my lack of information before buying the 3 Carnivorous Plants tapes.

Beautiful buttery-looking plant
Has been in excellent shape since arrival, and happily lives in a intermediate terrarium, at about 66 at night and 79 during day--fluorescent lighting.
