Nepenthes vogelii (Rooted Cutting)
This species is native to the tropical rainforests on Borneo in SE Asia. It's a close relative to N. maxima, N. eymae, and N. fusca. The lower pitchers are long and cylindrical with dark mottling and can reach up to 10 inches. They're a complete contrast to the upper pitchers, which are bulbous and funnel-shaped and approximately 3-6 inches. This species grows well as a houseplant and is very adaptable to a wide variety of growing conditions.
Type of Plant: Tropical pitcher plant for indoor growing.
Pitcher Size: Up to 10 inches.
Sunlight: Bright filtered to partial sun.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: Above 70°F during the day; 60°-70°F during the night. Always protect from frost.
