Named after the acclaimed carnivorous plant grower and author Peter D'Amato, this simple hybrid of Nepenthes ventricosa and N. lowii is an absolute showstopper. Lower pitchers are stout and squat, so red they're almost black, with bristles under the lid and a ridged peristome. The upper pitchers are not as darkly colored as the lower pitchers when they first open, but they are very rigid and gourd-like. The interior is glossy red and slippery. The entire pitcher is shaped bulbous-shaped with a tight waist. This plant grows perfectly as a houseplant. After acclimating to its new home, 'Peter D'Amato' can produce pitchers that last up to 6 months!

Type of Plant: Tropical pitcher plant for indoor growing.
Pitcher Size: Up to 8 inches.
Sunlight: Bright filtered to partial sun.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: Above 70°F during the day; 55°-70°F during the night. Always protect from frost.

    I have purchased lots of carnivorous plants from Sarracenia Northwest. They are always of robust, superior quality and always arrive impeccably packaged and in perfect condition. This gives them a huge head start when compared with the weak and stressed plants I have received from other places. Other vendors don't come close to the quality and packaging of these folks, who obviously take great pride in their work. They are the gold standard in carnivorous plant sales.

    I ordered a Nepenthes x Peter D’Amato and I just have to say I am more than happy with my purchase, they have amazing quality plants and they do an amazing job packaging the plants. When I received my plant it was big and healthy, it had a pitcher about to open. My plant is thriving and still has that amazing pitcher that was opening when I first got it and it’s growing new pitchers as well.     Absolutely thrilled with my order from SNW. The prices is unbelievable for what you receive. Could not be more happy. Mine came with one fully developed pitcher and a second not too far behind. Once in my grow setup it quickly popped that second pitcher and hasn't stopped since. Looking forward to ordering again

    Another fantastic plant. Once more when it was received by me, it instantly began growing. There was a single closed pitcher already produced and by the next morning it had already opened. It just looks amazing as well
