This plant arrived in fantastic health and out on 2 new pitchers within a month of receiving. The sun pitcher continues to do well in my warm house, I look forward to growing more from Sarracenia Northwest.
Type of Plant: Tropical pitcher plant for windowsill growing.
Native Habitat: Flat mountain tops of Venezuela.
Sunlight: Partial to full sun, or strong fluorescent lights.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less). Allow water to drain through.
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite. No garden soil, compost, or fertilizer.
Temperatures: Mild day temperatures. Avoid excessive heat and scorching sunlight. Nighttime drop of 15°- 20° is recommended. Always protect from frost.
Best for the experienced grower.
