Heliamphora Godzilla

This Heliamphora hybrid is the tallest in our collection. Pitchers on a mature specimen plant can reach 3 feet! However, you'll need a very large pot and a hefty dose of patience to see the full potential of this plant. Our mother plants have no trouble reaching 20 inches, but that's when we typically divide them because we just don't have the space for such large plants!

Type of Plant: Tropical pitcher plant for windowsill growing.
Native Habitat: Flat mountain tops of Venezuela.
Adult Pitcher Height: Up to 36 inches.
Sunlight: Partial to full sun, but mild temperatures.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).  Allow water to drain through.
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite.  No garden soil, compost, or fertilizer.
Temperatures: Mild day temperatures.  Avoid excessive heat and scorching sunlight.  Nighttime temperature of 50°-65°F is recommended.  Always protect from frost. Best for the experienced grower.
