This eye-catching plant gets up to 3 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. Its uniform shape gives it the appearance of a miniature tree. The only difference, of course, is that this tree sparkles in sunlight! In the wild, this sundew is found in parts of boggy areas that are often flooded with an inch or two of water.  In cultivation, keep the water level fairly high, about 3/4 of the way up the pot. In winter, the leaves will die back, and the plant will form a resting bud sitting at soil level. Growth will resume in mid-spring.

Type of Plant: Outdoor perennial for container growing.
Leaves: 3-4 inches at maturity.
Sunlight: Partial to full sun during the growing season.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts peat moss and perlite only.
Winter: Dormant. Minimal protection in USDA zones 7-9. Mulch in colder regions.

I'll need to read more on how to keep it red. Mostly green, now. I was going to add pic but don't see an option.

    Looking good

Plant arrived healthy and well packed as usual. I have it in full sun with water 3/4 filled in tray. It is glistening with dew and catching many insects. Thank you for your high end good quality plants.

    So cute!

The sundew was very healthy and glitters in the morning sun. The other day I noticed a minuscule sundew on the edge of the pot, so I'm hoping it will grow as well.

    Little Drosera intermedia

Posted by Jack Haggerty on May 12, 2019

Came well packed - like other reputable sellers - and was healthy, then slumped, and now seems to be picking up again. It's not tall, nor was it advertised to be. I'd give 4.5 stars, but give them the benefit of the split.

Was able to transplant them easily. Planted in full sun and they are now bright red. Love these little guys.
