This sundew has long thread-like leaves, which gives this plant its common name, dewthread. Long thin leaves slowly rise, standing tall and proud. Small drops of nectar glisten ever so slightly, reflecting the sun's rays and enticing insects to taste its sweet offerings. By the end of summers, the plant is flecked with trophies of its conquests. In winter, the plant will die back and form a resting bud sitting at soil level. Growth will resume in mid-spring.

Type of Plant: Outdoor perennial for container growing.
Leaves: Up to 8 inches at maturity.
Sunlight: Partial to full sun during the growing season.

    Amazing plant

The plant first arrived looking bare, but within hours it was starting to get all dewy once more, since then the plant has started to flower and produce some seeds. Overall a very worthy purchase.

My order shipped quickly and was very well packaged! It immediately started producing dew as soon as I put it outside, and it’s one of the best bug catchers out of all of my carnivorous plants. It’s also flowered twice already!

    Thread leaf sundew

Posted by Vincent Kelp on June 9, 2024

After one month these plants have doubled in size with leaves that are littered with trophies. These plants are pushing multiple flower stocks each that will open soon. Note; living on the east coast with plenty of humidity I use water from a dehumidifier with TDS in the 20's.

Plant came in excellent condition, and was packaged very well. I especially liked the instructions that were sent with the plant. It's currently thriving with my other Drosera ?

    Healthy and hardy

Posted by Logan S on May 9, 2024

Arrived in a healthy dormant state. I was able to plant it out in the bog immediately and it woke up like nothing had happened as soon as it warmed up. This plant was better acclimated than other nurseries i've purchased from.

This was my first hardy sundew and I fell in love with it the moment I took it out of the box. It was very healthy and looked like I just picked it up from the nursery. It has grown a lot the past few weeks and has gone to town on the gnats in my yard.

She just finished flowering beautiful delicately pink little flowers that brought us lots of joy. She seems to be enjoing the south facing sunny window she shares with other carnivorous and suculent plants. Thank you for making sure that your plants are doing well in my home.

As usual a beautiful plant from SNW. Same terrific packing job they always do. I already have a Drosera multifida extrema on the way from them.
