This variety of Cape sundew is a truly remarkable plant. Instead of the typical green, the entire plant is blood red. To maintain its extreme color, you will need to grow this plant in absolutely the brightest light possible. In fall and winter, its leaves may lose some of its redness, but it perks up again in spring and summer when strong light levels return. While the other varieties of Cape sundew prefer bright and cool conditions, this variety prefers bright and warm conditions. An adult plant can get up to 5 inches in diameter and just has tall.

The shipping was fast and my Drosera was well packed with no damage from shipping. My plant seems to be doing well and is putting out new leaves. There is even a new plant starting to grow near the base of the original plant. Thumbs up to Sarracenia Northwest, I will definitely buy from you again.
Multiple plants
My Drosera capensis, REd Leaf, arrived quickly and was in excellent shape. I was lucky - two in the same pot which I then split. Very happy buyer.
I received my plant within a week of my order. I have never ordered plants online, so I was a little unsure. I was pleasantly surprised to see a very carefully and neatly packaged plant. The plant is healthy and growing like crazy. Will definitely order again in the future!
The plant arrived quickly and properly packaged. I would buy from here again.
Great packing . Awesome plant!!
I received one of these pots last year, and got 3 plants in one! Mine were about 3 to 4 inches tall, and boy, were they gorgeous. You really can't go wrong with that red color. The only downside is that you have to give these plants LOTS of sun to keep that red color. Mine probably receive 8 hours, and the stems aren't as red as they were when I received them. Maybe 10 or more hours would do the trick? Regardless, they're still flourishing, flowering, and producing lots of little plantlets for me.
This is my favorite variety of Drosera, the Red Leaf Carpensis, and it is thriving. The plant arrived in great condition and expertly packed. It looked a little dry, but has perked up and grown in the month i have had it. Wonderful quality, gorgeous colors and a great staff.
