This variety of Cape sundew is a truly remarkable plant. Instead of the typical green, the entire plant is blood red. To maintain its extreme color, you will need to grow this plant in absolutely the brightest light possible. In fall and winter, its leaves may lose some of its redness, but it perks up again in spring and summer when strong light levels return. While the other varieties of Cape sundew prefer bright and cool conditions, this variety prefers bright and warm conditions. An adult plant can get up to 5 inches in diameter and just has tall.

Type of Plant: Tropical plant for windowsill growing.
Size: 5 inches across when mature.
Sunlight: Partial sun. Avoid hot sunlight.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts peat moss and perlite only.
Temperatures: Tolerant of cool temperatures but always protect from frost.

    I got this plant a month ago. The instructions that came with the plants were helpful. It is still alive and arrived in 1 piece.

    Growing fast and can see the small flying nats and bugs it has caught. Wonderful red color. Hoping for flowers.

    Had some gnats in my kitchen last summer and thought I'd get a plant to help me catch them. It was shipped when promised and arrived in good condition. Came with a brochure about care and maintenance. It's been a couple of months and it's still alive , which is a pretty good indication I got a good plant. Also, the plant was bright red when it came, but if the plant doesn't get enough sunlight, new growth will be green.

    Although I only ordered one plant, I recieved two! They were kind of small, but is ok. They came well protected and contained. Before long, they started producing lots of dew! Great place to order plants from! :D

    I have a feeling I'm going to be saying the same thing about all of the plants I purchased from you guys. I'must forced to copy and paste because what more can I say then the following.They all came in great shape. They have all been packaged perfectly. And they are all growing out of control, in a good no great way... I will own every plant they sell at some point.
