    flytraps

My two flytraps arrived in excellent shape. Great packaging! They are repotted 7 weeks later and thriving out on the deck (San Francisco Bay Area). They've already devoured 3 flies. Thanks team Sarracenia Northwest! Looking forward to more.

    Flytrap

Posted by Cliff Zeyl on May 31, 2023

The flytrap arrived looking OK but several pretty-new traps have turned black and the new leaves it's putting out are much smaller than less recent ones. It's in the same place as my Sarracenias which gets 5-6 hours of full sun a day - when it's sunny. We've had a lot of cloudy weather lately (I'm in western NC) so maybe it's just holding out for sunnier weather? It's the only disappointing thing I've ever received from Sarracenia Northwest (I got a couple of pitcher plants and a flytrap last year) and for now I'm just leaving out there hoping for some sunny days and making sure it's not too wet for too long. *** RESPONSE BY SARRACENIA NORTHWEST *** Thank you for your feedback, Cliff. I'm sorry the plant didn't grow as well for as expected. We're certainly here to help you in any way we can. Write to us via Ask The Growers. Make sure to supply us with the necessary information. You can also upload up to 3 photos. This will help us diagnose the issue. We'll then go from there after we hear from you.

    Venus fly trap

Shipping was incredibly fast. I ordered 2 plants one a vft the other a ping on a Thursday and they arrived by that Saturday. I was impressed by how much care was taken to package my plants. They also sent lots of printed information on how to care for the plants I ordered and additional resources to contact for help or questions. The fly trap came with two dead heads but I expect heads dying to be normal. Will purchase from this company in the future.

Purchased this plant in December 2022 and the plant came in excellent condition. I live in new jersey and I’ve had the plant for almost four months now and she has grown so much and is thriving. I wish I could post pictures of how healthy she is now and how healthy the plant was when she arrived to me. Will be purchasing a red dragon next from you guys!

    We love it!

Upon arrival, our fly trap was lovely and healthy. I purchased this as a gift for my husband and he IS SO HAPPY. Ever since transferring to its own self watering pot, it continues to thrive! Catches lots of little gnats and other insects on its own. Thank you!

A beautiful, vigorous, plant that has caught many bugs in the short time I’ve had it. I definitely recommend buying this flytrap!
