Dionaea muscipula "Red Sawtooth Flytrap"

The red sawtooth flytrap is a rare variant. It is red throughout, and the traps have finely serrations along the edges. Compared to some of the larger forms of flytrap, the red sawtooth flytrap is much smaller and grows much slower. We've rarely seen this plant grow larger than 2-3 inches across. It's still unusual and makes a great addition to any cold hardy collection. Supply is limited.
Plants You Receive
Plants 2 inches in diameter and shipped in 3-inch pots.
All cold-hardy perennials are grown outdoors at our nursery in Oregon. Their appearance will change with the seasons.
April-May: Emerging from dormancy.
June-September: Plants are in active growth. Best growth occurs in late summer.
October-December: Plants stop growing and wil drop its traps. A few will remain.
January-March: Plants are still dormant. Most traps from the previous season will be cut off.

General Care
Type of Plant: Cold-hardy perennial for outdoor container growing.
Sunlight: Full sun, 6+ hours of direct sunlight, during the growing season.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less). Set in standing water to keep media wet.
Soil: Equal parts peat moss and perlite. No garden soil, compost, or fertilizer.
Winter: Dormant. Mulch in USDA zones 6 or colder.

Hi, To all those who read this..... I have for the past 3 going on 4 years now I have every plant alive and doing well that I have ever bought from this company. They take care of them self all I do is make sure they have the water they need the rest is up to them and they do well starting from small little plants and needing to be divided on only their second year. I love all the plants that I got from this company I bought a few from others but they're not the same not even close so I don't experiment any longer I stick with the best and the best is with Northwest sarracenia.

Well worth the money
Not only different looking for other Flytraps, but it's fantastic RED and saw teeth really keeps your attention when it catches a fly. It seems to ... gum its catch. LOL
