This variety of flytrap produces upright yellow traps. The mouths of the traps have a splash of reddish orange. It grows very vigorously and sends up multiple traps at once. It also produces larger than normal traps when it matures, up to 1 1/2 inches. Because of the long petioles, the leaves flop over due to the weight of the large traps. This is probably why it was called King Henry!

This batch are divisions from a 10-year old colony that we divided in spring. You can watch us divide the colony on our YouTube channel.

    Awesome Healthy Plants!!

Posted by Jared B on December 31, 2017

I ordered after a lot of procrastinating and after watching tons of Sarracenia Northwest care videos on Youtube. These guys really care about what they do and they do it right. Packaging was top notch and even came with heat packs to keep them from freezing on the way to me here in Michigan. I would encourage buyers to take a look at the shipping schedule before you order so you know when your order will ship out. I ordered around the Holidays and so there seemed like a delay but it was really me not paying attention so no fault of theirs. It may be good to add that somewhere in the order process though so expectations are set up front. Overall I am very pleased and will order again.

got the king with some Red Dragons just as hurricane Harvey hit and made the mistake of leaving them out side overnight;i must say these are some hardy plants and they must have some gene in them that kicks in when faced with severe weather like what can get here in Texas.

This flytrap arrived in a carefully packaged container and looking very healthy. The traps are huge! I've already witnessed them catch several insects in my garden.

    Getting Big.

This has been a very vigorous grower. The traps have grown tall and big. Not so big and tall that they have flopped over yet. I thoroughly enjoy seeing all the flies trapped.

    Doing great!

My King Henry Flytrap arrived carefully packaged and appearing very healthy (obviously a little stressed from being in a box for a couple days). I took the plant out of the container, watered it well and set out on the porch for the summer. Weeks later, it is absolutely thriving. It's sent up multiple new traps and has caught several flies too! Love my plant and will definitely order from your company again

A very supplier of carnivorous plants

Posted by Tim on July 30, 2017

I received a very robust and healthy looking plant. It was packaged nicely for shipping. After a short period of adapting to my central Texas heat, the plant is sprouting new growth and doing very well.

Nice looking and larger than expected plant

Living in the desert growing these can be a challenge. Plant quickly acclimated to full sun with some shade. Plant came hungry and with proper care has done very well.
