Pinguicula agnata

Pinguicula agnata is a species with thick succulent-like leaves. Right now, it's in its dormant state, an adaptation to the dry winters in the mountains of Mexico. Even when dormant, this species is very attractive, forming a rosette of leaves resembling a flower. During its active growth state (Spring through Fall), its leaves are long and paddle-shaped. It also produces flowers with a striking purple border on the edges of the petals.

A young plant in a 3-inch pot. This is the size we typically sell. We prefer to ship them in winter when the plant is dormant because they're much easier to ship them that way.

One of our mature mother plants that we use for propagation.

Purple-blute flowers. They look surreal against the chartreuse leaves.

This species is offered periodically throughout the year. Click here to see what's in stock.
